JIR Journey - Day 2 "Looking for Joy"
As I have been thinking, writing and practicing retirement, I have come to realize the word Joy perhaps does not naturally belong to the reality of retirement…yet!
We have heard about it for so long and think we should be joyful! After all, we aren't going to work for someone else any more right! What’s not to be joyful and happy about? This is where the nuances step up for their close-up.
Like retirement, I don't believe joy is a place. I think of it as a journey and a process that has a variety of pieces. Each one of us has unique pieces and for each of us there may be a better, best or optimal process to find Joy In Retirement.
